BrightLightSolar was created in 2003 by Ian Tansley, a design engineer with more than 20 years experience of solar technologies.

Ian has designed and deployed solar solutions for a wide range of clients worldwide, a considerable number going to developing countries, providing remote off grid electricity solutions. In particular in the field of education and health.

BrightLightSolar has also established a growing reputation in the UK with the installation of solar energy based systems throught the country ranging from solar powered street lamps through to solar hot water systems.

Brightlight solar is able to provide a wide range of solar energy related products at very competitive prices, most of our orders are from abroad and our very wide experience enables us to provide detailed advice to our customers.
